Cybersecurity

Proactive Protection

Whether it is protecting networks, data, devices, software, or personnel, cybersecurity is fundamental to everything we do at ERC. Our highly trained personnel proficiently help our customers safeguard their critical information, systems, and operations. By optimizing our customers’ security programs and aligning them with organizational and mission needs, we ensure that they strike the right balance between data confidentiality, data integrity, and data availability.

ERC applies best practices to help our government customers improve their security posture and adapt to changing threats and vulnerabilities. Our cybersecurity services include 24/7 network monitoring, software risk assessments, cybersecurity documentation generation, and government authority-to-operate security process management. In addition, by baking cybersecurity into our software development processes, we deliver hardened systems that minimize risk and maximize mission assurance.

Our Agile development methods are tailored to our customers’ needs and take advantage of continuous customer collaboration, short development sprints, incremental software versions, and concurrent testing. By simultaneously building and testing security and functional capabilities, we quickly determine whether the software will meet customer needs and pivot promptly if necessary. The result: reduced time, cost, and risk.

How We Do It

The Speed to Lead

How does the Air Force securely keep pace with change? To mitigate cybersecurity risks, all new software at the Eglin Air Force Base enclave must be assessed and authorized before it becomes operational. In the past, it had taken a week or more to complete these software risk assessments. By applying better processes, tools, and techniques, the ERC team has cut the time required to just 12 hours. As a result, the Air Force can get important new capabilities into the hands of users faster.

Defending the Network That Defends the U.S.

The Missile Defense Agency’s integrated missile defense system defends the United States and its deployed forces, allies, and friends from missile attacks. ERC supports this critical effort by keeping MDA’s global IT network operating 24/7/365. Our full spectrum of network and cybersecurity services helps the MDA stay ahead of advanced persistent threats, nation-state cyberattacks, hackers, and other cybercriminals.

Working side by side with customer personnel in Colorado and Alabama, we protect MDA’s worldwide network through around-the-clock monitoring of traffic and events, incident response capabilities, and operational risk assessments of software and computers. Our trained and certified personnel also provide expertise in network operations and security; software development, operations, and maintenance; system administration; server administration; information technology project management; and virtualization engineering.
