From weapon systems and military aircraft to rocket systems and launch platforms, we evaluate complex systems and technologies and act as a trusted partner dedicated to advancing our customers’ missions.

Our full life cycle T&E services encompass pretest planning and analysis, test-set creation, resource planning, scheduling, test execution, data collection, and test analysis and evaluation. How We Do It

Ice Over Alabama

A cloud of ice moving over the skies of northern Alabama? It’s all a part of the U.S. Army Redstone Test Center aircraft icing test program. ERC plays a vital role in Army icing tests at Redstone and in colder climates such as Michigan and Minnesota. A Chinook helicopter acts as an airborne spray tanker to create an artificial cloud of ice. The tests use onboard instrumentation and photography to study the effect of icing conditions on aircraft, weapon systems, and aircraft components.

Shake, Rattle, and Roll

The Hellfire air-to-ground missile system is one of the most critical short-range missiles in the U.S. military’s weapon arsenal. Launched from helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, sea vessels, and land-based sites, the Hellfire has the flexibility and precision-strike capability to shine in roles ranging from anti-armor missions to high-profile terrorist targets.

ERC has supported the U.S. Army Redstone testing of the Hellfire missile for more than 25 years. Our team does extensive qualification testing on every new Hellfire version or variant to ensure that each meets MIL-STD 810 and other critical specifications. This six-month process runs the full gamut of environmental testing, including vibration profile testing in hot, ambient, and cold temperatures. Our comprehensive testing and evaluation also include building test sets, telemetry kits, live flight testing, and lot-testing of production missiles.
